The 20th Anniversary Edition of my favorite album EVER. Sweet.

I have to express my excitement, it might as well be here!

Amy Grant is playing the Hershey Theater in November, and I haven’t been this excited since I discovered my first underarm hair! My friend LeAnne and I are going to see her together and I’m telling you, fall can’t get here fast enough.

Those of you that know me, know that I am a die-hard Amy Grant fan. When I was a teenager, I had a friend that worked for her, and in 1996, when I was 17, I went to Nashville to tour colleges. My friend took me to Amy’s house (when she still lived at the infamous Riverstone Farm) and I got to spend the better part of a Saturday afternoon with her. I’d like to say it was a dazzling trip, but she had no makeup on, her kids were running wild, and she was babysitting her friend’s baby. I put my hand on her counter and got it in grape jelly, and I discussed Nashville colleges with her while she changed a diaper.

It was wonderful. 🙂

I grew up on Amy’s music, and there were times when she was the only positive role model I had. I can’t wait to see her on stage again – it has been 11 years. I used to participate in the Amy Grant newsgroup(s) and discussion forums on AOL and my high school sweetheart was actually a bigger Amy fan than I was!

I just had to share my joy. 🙂
